Steam is offering (the new) DOOM for 50% off this week. That's the best discount I've seen so far on a game that seems to have come out much better than anyone predicted. I've not played it myself, yet, but do plan to get it for the single-player campaign.

It's excellent. I would still be in its throes if my save hadn't gotten corrupted, forcing me to restart.

If you try to take cover, you've already lost.

The Humble Store Spring Sale has started. Features Dungeons 2 for free, 50% off on some relatively recent titles like Doom, Dishonored 2, Fallout IV, and Dark Souls III. Bigger discounts on other titles.

ETA: And Steam has started to respond. E.G. Doom is 67% off there right now. Comparison-shopping is your friend.

The Alan Wake games are 90% off on Steam right now, making them just a few bucks each.  That will be the case until tomorrow (May 15), at which point the original game will be pulled from sale online due to a music licensing issue until the license is renegotiated (if ever).

Microsoft is having a sale http://www.xbox.com/en-us/promotions/sales/backward-compatibility-super-sale on Xbox 360 games that are compatible on Xbox One. Some pretty decent deals in there.

The Steam summer sale has begun.  From my wishlist, I see Shadow of Mordor for $4, several games for $9 or $10 (Talos Principle, Darkest Dungeon, FFXIII-2, Ori and the Blind Forest, Stardew Valley, Firewatch, Starbound) and some shallower discounts.

I picked up 8 or 9 games at $10 and under; TB put out a video with his picks for the 20 best games at $5 or less and I picked up a couple of those, too. My sense is that discounts this year are steeper than in past years. Essentially everything on my wish list is on sale to one degree or another.

Blizzard has Diablo 3 and Reaper of Souls at half price to promote the new REVIVAL!mancer pack, making them $10 each, or about 83K gold apiece at current token prices.

Steam is having a Quakecon sale, which also seems to include Bethesda games (presumably because Zenimax owns both studios).  Dishonored is $2.50, or $10 with DLC.  Old Fallout games are also cheap.

SteamWorld Dig is free on Origin right now.  You would think a game named "SteamWorld" would be distributed on Steam, and it is, but it's not free there.  This is actually a recent game (late 2013) with good reviews.  One user review described it as "Dig Dug meets Diablo".

The Steam Halloween sale is up.  A bunch of stuff on my wishlist is on sale; I will pick up Recursed (a puzzle game) for $4, but nothing else is below the price point for adding to my backlog.  Among games I already own, I see Crypt of the REVIVAL!dancer for $3 and Limbo for $1.50.
