Combat analysis tools
« on: September 20, 2017, 08:34:48 AM »
Here's a thread for all things combat log.  For completeness I'll mention the current standbys: recount or skada for in-game analysis, and warcraftlogs.com for reports from uploaded combat logs.

Today I learned about wowanalyzer.com.  It's kind of a successor to checkmywow.com (which today announced that it's on the way out of the space) with a larger team.  You feed it a warcraftlogs.com URL, pick a boss fight and a character, and it gives you feedback about your rotational efficiency.  I don't think it takes into account boss mechanics, so when the balance druid module expects <2% casting downtime it may not always be realistic.

It's a fairly recent tool and not all specs are supported.

I was going to say checkmywow.com, but I notice now that the guy has stopped active development, and is recommending everyone use wowanalyzer.com instead.
