The Netherlight Crucible changes interesting but I like the idea that the Crucible paths for each slot should be fixed.

Having a fixed Crucible path would to me make it feel more like an upgrade of the weapon and so much easier for Blizzard to balance in terms of power and utility.

Going with a /RNG Crucible path is a bad idea, because some of the combinations are going to be poor but some are going to be greatly overpowered good luck trying to balancing that. Then deal with the QQ storm when they fix it somehow.

Going by the vendor pet for Hallow's End, Naxxy 7.3 should be live before Hallow's End?

Most likely well before Hallow's End.  Since 7.1.0, Blizzard has been delivering patches every 11 weeks, which suggests we should anticipate 7.3 in late August.  (But probably another 11-12 weeks after that for the Argus raid to open.)

[ETA: we've also gotten an end-of-PvP-season announcement as of August 7, with no specific date: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/news/20946578 ]

"Pre-7.3 questline"? I didn't know there was one (I've been on a wow-cation). Is this quest important, does it award "stuff", or is it just to whet the appetite of eager players?

It's a short scenario involving Magni Bronzebeard.  It awards roughly 30 million AP at artifact knowledge 40, so basically only narrative rewards.  (Spoiler alert: we're going to that big planet in the sky.)

7.3 will release on August 29, which exactly fits the 11-week schedule.

Legion invasion points are not 3-person scenarios, but "public scenarios" with many players, and should feel similar to the pre-expansion Legion invasions.

Contributing to a building on the Broken Shore no longer awards a Legionfall Recompense item, and the Artifact Power value of the Artifact Power token awarded has been reduced.
Artifact Power items no longer have a sale price, as they should always be useable.

Hmmm broken shore is going to look like a ghost  town :/

Presumably this was the intent?  Similar to removing the for gold quests from the garrisons of last expansion?

The difficulty of Heroic and Mythic dungeons has increased to reflect the improved rewards. Normal dungeon difficulty is unchanged.

Frell. This will make the Lagan achievement harder, and makes meaningless the effort I put in to gear up for it. *Sigh*

A wowhead contributor has written a comprehensive guide to Argus:

http://ptr.wowhead.com/comprehensive-argus-guide

Among many other things, it gives a sense of the scope of the quest lines in each of the three weeks, with diagrams of the quest trees.  So far it looks like players pretty much have to do all of the quest content to unlock the crucible (though only on one character); there doesn't seem to be a shortcut path for raiders who don't like outdoor content.  It doesn't seem to be a Suramar's worth of quest content, but it's not trivial either.

Servers appear to be up already with patch 7.3, well in advance of the scheduled time (which was 6pm eastern).

Aye very early thank you for the heads up :), also remember to update your addons.

Of my addons only DBM is updated which is odd one Rematch (pet addon) was updated 5 hours ago and it still considered out of date :/
