[Prot Warrior] talents, rage mgmt, keybindings

Talents: I went for this:
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/tool/talent-calculator#Zba!0002221

I only expect to be tanking in 5s, but hopefully mythics someday.

Thought process:
Shockwave because stuns are awesome
Impending Victory for the self-healing
Renewed Fury because passives are good, since I'm running out of buttons
Crackling Thunder to make tclap better and the others don't seem nearly as useful
Indomitable because with Devastator, I had empty GCDs.  Also, I imagine Indomitable will become damn useful in mythics, so get used to levelling with it.
Booming Voice for the rage generator, although maybe I should get Vengeance instead?
Heavy Repercussions seems more useful than the others.

---

Alright, so then with the recent change of dropping Devastator for Impending Victory, I'm having rage starvation issues.  I feel like I should be keeping Ignore Pain up whenever I can, but if I've configured TellMeWhen correctly, I'm not doing that right.  Any suggestions?

---

I can easily hit 1-6 and chording in Alt at rare times is okay, so that means I have 12 buttons I can effectively hit.  So far, I have...  stuff I can't remember from memory.  This is what I'll check to see if I have tonight:

1: macro
/cast shield block
/cast shield slam
/cast [modifier: alt] ignore pain

2: macro
/cast devastate
/cast [modifier: alt] pummel

3: macro
/cast revenge
/cast [modifier: alt] spell reflection

4: macro
/cast impending victory
/cast [modifier: alt] taunt

5: macro
/cast thunder clap
/cast [modifier: alt] demo shout

6: macro
/cast intercept
/cast [modifier: alt] heroic leap

Note that chording 5 & 6 is not easy, so those can't be quick-reflex moves.

Hmm.  Put Battle Cry into the 1 macro?  Having a crit on a shield slam seems like a good idea.

I have tanking cooldowns (Neltharion's Fury, Last Stand, Shield Wall) separate; I have to mouseclick those.  Yeah, that makes me a slow-to-respond tank; I know, I know.

Always put an emergency button (Last Stand or something else) on the keypad Insert/0. That way, if you need a panic button, bang on the keypad (you'll always hit insert doing that).

Or you'll break your keyboard. One of the two.

Thana's macro has been a lifesaver for my warrior in Prot spec:

Code: [Select]
#showtooltip Shield Slam
/cast Shield Block
/cast Battle Cry
/cast Shield Slam

My Prot DPS has gone from miniscule to reasonable, and my damage taken has shrunk to the point where I can tank instances and solo the Warden's Tower quests up to the end boss. Thanks, Thana!

Credit where it's due: I got the shield block / shield slam macro from Abbi back in Burning Crusade?, I think.  (When did original Kz come out?  That was the only time I did raid tanking.)
