Blizzard community podcasts and videos
« on: June 24, 2017, 02:25:23 PM »
Consuming community content isn't required for membership in the Society of People Who Spend Way Too Much Time on Blizzard Games, but extracurriculars like these really help make your application stand out.

My favorite right now is Taliesin & Evitel Do Games (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiHdR2hAyFEXWCbNQgbu_Dg).  They make short, well-produced videos which mix humor with current WoW news.  And they speak in distinguished British accents, which makes everything better.

I recently learned of a podcast called Lagging Balls (https://laggingballs.com/).  This is basically the podcast you would make if you did a focus group to A/B test your content about Blizzard games, and everyone in the focus group was Kharvek.  As a bonus, the hosts are Canadian.

Taliesin has a new podcast with a cohost called WoW Killer.  (The cohost is Garrett, who has been part of a zillion podcasts.)  Just one episode so far, released yesterday.  http://amove.tv/wowkiller

Speaking of podcasts with only one episode so far, Koltrane did a podcast with a cohost called Azeroth Public Radio with really high production value, but also apparently really high production time.  Episode 1 went live back in July and episode 2 is, uh, supposedly still happening as of late October.  It's a pretty good one episode, though.  https://www.azerothpublicradio.com/shows
